FUN! I want to capture your personality, and will guide you through movements and prompts to create authentic expressions. Expect lots of laughter and twirling. I’ll help you feel as confident and comfortable in front of the camera as possible and guide you through every step of the shoot.
About an hour. I'm focused on creating a comprehensive gallery for you more than my watch so sometimes we get everything we need faster and sometimes a little longer.
Either in a beautiful daylight studio, or outdoors in the Camas/Washougal/Vancouver area. During our planning call we can discuss what you have in mind for setting and I'll provide some options for you to choose from. During the winter I only offer indoor studio shoots due to the high likelihood of rain.
I'll guide you through this process! First we will pick the location and then base the colors and feel off of this. Or if you've got a statement dress or piece you've been wanting to wear then we will choose a location that will best showcase it. I'm also a dress designer and have a few gowns I've created just for shoots that you are welcome to wear as a complimentary part of your shoot.
All of the finished images in your gallery will have professional color correction and light retouching as needed. There are a few things that are not included in retouching such as changes to weight, touching up roots, fixing chipped nails, or smoothing out wrinkled clothing. I'll include a checklist of things to review before your session so that you love the way you look and get the most out of your session.
I have a 4 year old of my own so I know that moods can vary wildly - but thats the fun in capturing authentic sessions we are going to capture your sweet wild child's personality. I've got tons of prompts and games up my sleeve so that the session is fun and we capture beautiful expressions and connection. We won't ever rush the process and have plenty of time to take dance or snack breaks to help keep them engaged.
Nope! Not even one bit. I will guide you through this the whole time. I'm aiming to capture authentic expressions and movement so a lot of the poses are not static "smile at the camera" and are playful and fun. I'll also be your personal on set stylist and will always be looking out for any adjustments for clothing and hair that could be distracting to the images.
